  • Drives Team safety initiatives and ensures all team members comply with all safety responsibilities including; LOTO, Near Miss, Risk Predictions, and Behavior Observation Survey programs
  • Responsible for meeting Quality (Food Safety), Safety, Reliability, and Cost targets
  • Maintain a GMP compliant work area
  • Model leadership behaviors that ask the right questions, being mindful, promotes creativity, and encourages whole participation
  • Embraces and champions positive change
  • Serving as a coach, motivating teams, and developing their capabilities
  • Gathers the right information and makes tough and timely decisions
  • Provides leadership to effectively hold team members accountable, manage team scorecard, and deliver desired results
  • Manage the successful execution and coordination of all team activities through the development of annual & 90-day team plans
  • Functioning as a problem solver, proactively anticipating problems, considering alternatives, and follow-up actions
  • Identifies gaps and eliminate losses utilizing problem solving, Why/Why Analysis and other methodologies
  • Be a resource and participate in daily autonomous maintenance activities
  • Improve production line start-up execution
  • Manage sanitation procedures with assistance from Plant Sanitarian
  • Manage personnel i.e., vacation planning, staffing standards (full-time and temporary staffing), training plans, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Meet with each direct report employee 1:1 on a regular basis
  • Completes mid-year and annual Performance Appraisal for all direct reports
  • Uphold communication and work closely with other team leads and plant leadership
  • Drives excellence in shift pass down and Daily Direction Setting meeting
  • Demonstrate and uphold the duties of the Organization Capability functional leadership 
  • Participates on projects as needed

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years operations experience preferred
  • In depth knowledge of operations and supporting departments
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong leadership with a demonstrated desire and capability to lead and develop others
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize daily activities
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Oracle, Discoverer, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis and stand for extended hours
