Coordinate day to day activities to maintain machines, both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, to insure that the production departments are able to meet their schedules.\n

 \nResponsibilities\n

Primary duties:\n\n Ensure that employees are properly trained in the areas of troubleshooting, quality policy, safety, and repair of equipment\n Strong interpersonal skills required to perform their duties with exceptional verbal and written communications skills\n Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple issues based on production impact in a constantly changing environment\n Support annual goals and objectives that meet or exceed safety, budget, machine uptime, and backlog work levels\n Work to continuously improve processes, move the department towards preventative/predictive maintenance, and interact directly with employees to upgrade their abilities through training and mentoring while adhering to the union contract\n\n

Secondary duties:\n\n Verify that work is done correctly, safety policies and procedures are followed, and area is cleaned up after work is completed\n Process and analyze information and data from scheduled inspections and unplanned downtime to determine root cause of the issues and develop and implement fixes to prevent reoccurrence\n\nQualifications\n

 \n

Knowledge/Experience:\n\n A minimum of three to five years of maintenance experience in a medium/high volume manufacturing environment preferred\n Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair\n\n

Skills and Abilities:\n\n An ideal candidate will have maintenance experience and have the ability to give clear and concise direction\n Blueprint reading is essential\n Computer literacy is required, specifically the ability to demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet software, and email.  SAP knowledge is a plus\n Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills\n Problem solving and troubleshooting ability, along with proven leadership capabilities\n Ability to utilize pareto charts and other quality tools to increase MTBF of equipment\n\n

Education:\n\n Qualified candidates should possess a two-year Associate\u2019s Degree or equivalent experience\n\n
