Quality Specialist - Receiving Inspection

This position is centered on working with vendors and supplier quality engineer’s to help support plant operations by performing product sampling and providing reporting back to management and vendors focusing on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities involve plant support, continuous cost improvements, productivity improvements, critical process control, verbal communication, project management, corrective / preventive actions reporting, quality control plan management, gaging requirements, measurement techniques, design of experiments, and quality assurance.
Qualified candidates must be self-driven and willing to expand their knowledge of measurement techniques and equipment. The ideal candidate would prefer to be a “hands on” contributor with Six Sigma or Quality Engineering Experience. Computer experience should include the ability to use spreadsheets, databases, SAP, word processing software, particularly MS Office products. Candidate must have the ability to prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, corrective actions, and re-validations. Candidate must be able to clearly communicate studies or quality documentation to management and external vendors.
1-5yrs. in manufacturing with at least a 2 yr. Associate degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Advanced Computer and typing skills are needed. Working knowledge of SAP is a plus. A good knowledge of gaging and measurement techniques is desired.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds regularly. Sit and walk as much as needed to perform the functions of the position.
